Important Base Location Information
I will always start from my base in MILTON KEYNES, but can collect from ANYWHERE in the UK and deliver to ANYWHERE in the UK. All pricing is calculated based on distance travelled from Milton Keynes to collection, through to delivery, following the rules below.
How Distance Pricing Works & Why Costs Are Calculated This Way
Pricing is simple, fair, and fully transparent. Prices are set to cover fuel, driver time, vehicle wear, insurance, and travel costs, ensuring a reliable and professional service.
0 - 50 Miles Radius - Charged One-Way Only
Includes jobs starting or ending outside Milton Keynes, as long as total distance is under 50 miles
You only pay for the distance needed to complete your journey. You do NOT pay for the return to base.
• First 10 miles = INCLUDED FREE in the base price
• Every additional mile = £1.20 per mile

Reason: This covers the direct travel to you and to the delivery point, keeping short-range journeys affordable.
Over 50 Miles - Charged Round-Trip
For longer distances (over 50 miles from our base), the the price covers the full journey:
• Milton Keynes → Collection → Delivery → Return to base
• Full mileage calculated at £1.20 per mile
Reason: For longer UK-wide jobs, the total distance travelled back to base is included to cover fuel, driver hours, and vehicle running costs for nationwide travel.
Weight Surcharges - Why there is an extra cost
Base prices include items up to 50kg total weight. Heavier loads incur a small extra charge due to extra handling effort, vehicle capacity limits, and additional wear on the vehicle:

Distance: 8 miles (within 0–50 miles, one‑way charge)

• Mileage: First 10 miles free → £0 extra

Job: Pick up a car engine (180kg) in Northampton → Deliver to Bedford
Distance: 22 miles total (within 0–50 miles, one‑way charge — outside MK area)

Calculation:
• Base: £25
• Mileage: 22 − 10 = 12 extra miles × £1.20 = £14.40
• Weight: 180kg = +£30
TOTAL PRICE = £69.40
Cost explained: Includes travel from MK → Northampton → Bedford, extra miles over the free allowance, and extra handling for a heavy engine.
EXAMPLE 3: LONG DISTANCE JOB (OVER 50 MILES)
Job: Pick up furniture (120kg) in Oxford → Deliver to Cambridge
Distance: 65 miles from our base (over 50 miles, round‑trip charge)
Service: Next‑day
Calculation:
• Base: £18
• Mileage: 65 miles × 2 (round‑trip) × £1.20 = £156
• Weight: 120kg = +£15
TOTAL PRICE = £189
Cost explained: Covers full round‑trip travel from MK → Oxford → Cambridge → back to MK, plus weight surcharge. Required for long-distance UK-wide jobs.
